Donald Trump is back in headline-making form, this time with a flashy new proposal: a $5 million “Gold Card” that he says will give wealthy foreigners access to the U.S.—and a potential pathway to citizenship.

Speaking from Air Force One on Thursday (April 3), the former president dramatically revealed the card, which features a bold design complete with his face, the Statue of Liberty, and a bald eagle. Waving it in the air, Trump declared, â€śFor $5 million, this could be yours.”

When asked who he thought the first buyer would be, Trump didn’t hesitate. â€śMe. I’m the first,” he said.

According to Trump, the card will officially go on sale in the coming weeks. He described it as a fast track for the ultra-wealthy to gain “green card privileges” and a “very strong path” toward U.S. citizenship—though he added that full citizenship would still require congressional approval.

Trump also touted the economic benefits of the Gold Card program, painting it as a win for the American economy. While the announcement raised eyebrows—and plenty of questions—Trump appears confident that his luxury-style immigration solution will catch on.
