According to reports, former President Donald Trump could be facing RICO charges in Georgia for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
CNN reports that “racketeering and conspiracy charges” are due to come down against the former president showing an alleged conspiracy from both “inside and outside” Georgia. Fulton County DA Fani Willis noted back in 2021 at the start of the probe that the investigation would look into “solicitation of election fraud, the making of false statements to state and local governmental bodies, conspiracy, racketeering, violation of oath of office and any involvement in violence or threats related to the election’s administration.”
Trump’s legal team has since filed motions to deem the probe unconstitutional and deny Willis from further investigating.
