Due to the unfortunate turn of events that saw Offset wind up hospitalized after a near-fatal car collision in Atlanta last week, the Migos rapper didn’t get to join his brethren at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards.

But Quavo was in the house and willing to spare a few words about how fortunate he feels to still have his cousin and bandmate on earth and breathing, period.

My boy Offset got into a bad car accident, but he ‘s doing fine. He’s up and running, he’s walking, ready to work. He should be back working real, real, soon. So, it’s a blessing that he’s still here,” Quavo said during an interview he granted with a reporter who caught up with him on the red carpet before the evening’s ceremony and performances. “We give the glory to God,” he said.

Since the shocking news of the accident hit the presses – photographs and videos have leaked to show how Offset really dodged what would have been a catastrophic night for his family, with his fourth child expected to arrive into the world just two months from now. Judging by the images that have gotten out, the 26-year-old rapper appears to be well on his way to recovery.
