China unveils full land, sea and air nuclear triad for first time, weaponized ārobot wolvesā at largest-ever military parade.
Chinese President Xi JinpingĀ stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Russian strongman Vladimir Putin and North Korean heavyweight Kim Jong Un Wednesday as they took in a massive parade of Chinaās high-tech weapons ā the communist nationās largest ever show of force, which was meant as a clear challenge to the West.Ā The arsenal inĀ Beijingās Tianament square included the first time China has showed off its nuclear triad ā world-destroying weapons capable of launching for the land, the sea or the air. China also boasted truck-mounted lasers, underwater AI drones and ārobot wolves.ā
Xi had gathered the worldās despots in China as part of a show of strength and a clear message of deterrence against the United States. It is also a threat to democratic Taiwan, which Beijing sees as a renegade province.
Xi earlier in the week revealed his vision of a new world order at a regional security summit where he called for unity against global āhegemonism and power politicsā ā a dig at the United States and President Trumpās sweeping tariffs, which have strained long-standing alliances.
