Nas dropped a major teaser for a new Mobb Deep album titled Infinite, giving Hip-Hop heads a reason to look forward to 2025 with a posthumous project honouring the late Prodigy.

In a short video posted to Instagram, Havoc reflects on the creative process behind the album. The upcoming release marks Mobb Deep’s first album since 2014’s The Infamous Mobb Deep and their first since Prodigy’s death in 2017. The project is entirely produced by Havoc and The Alchemist, who both confirmed earlier this year that the album is complete. Infinite is part of Mass Appeal’s Legend Has It… series, a curated slate of releases from Hip-Hop legends, including Nas & DJ Premier, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, De La Soul, Big L and a still-unnamed surprise artist.

A release date is not set yet but given this reveal and time running out in 2025, we have to imagine we receive it sooner than later. This will be Mobb Deep’s first record of this ilk, as the Queens hip-hop duo’s last album dropped in 2014.
