The NFL’s new collective bargaining agreement was settled this weekend, and in that, it was revealed that players would no longer be suspended for marijuana use.
The new policy will significantly reduce penalties for players who test positive for THC, which also includes getting rid of game suspensions for a positive test result. Along with that, the number of players who are subject to THC testing would be reduced, and the policy will also shorten the window in which players could be tested from four months to two weeks at the beginning of training camp each season.
