Previously, news surfaced noting that Kyrie Irving allegedly spoke with his Brooklyn Nets teammates and urged them to boycott the rest of the 2019-2020 season to address the systemic racism and injustice issues currently plaguing America.
Along with that the player allegedly tried to get players to start their own league after he said he is “willing to give up everything” he has for social reform. Now, the NBA has released a brief PSA in support of Black Lives Matter—one that addresses racism as well. In the clip, players like Damien Lillard, Kyle Korver, Jaylen Brown, and more can be seen protesting in the streets and addressing the issues the nation is currently facing. News of this comes after the NBA revealed when the league would be restarting, with the Lakers and Clippers scheduled to face off.
