Former vice president Joe Biden recently made an appearance on a virtual town hall meeting that was moderated by actor Don Cheadle, and raised some eyebrows with a comment he made about people who he thinks should be uniting in America.
During the town hall, Biden called out Trump for allegedly dividing citizens in the country on purpose by saying:
“You’re going to get the worst of us to come out. It’s about the attitude of the country – is this really as good as we think we can be as a nation? I don’t think the vast majority of people think that. There are probably anywhere from 10 to 15 percent of the people out there that are just not very good people, but that’s not who we are. The vast majority of the people are decent, and we have to appeal to that and we have to unite people – bring them together.”
Because of those statements, Biden is facing backlash with many comparing his quotes to comments Hillary Clinton made while she was running for president in 2016, where she said almost half of Trump supporters are in a “basket of deplorables.”
GOP: Biden said 10-15% of Americans aren’t very good people! LE GASP.
