Max Hodak, Elon Musk’s partner at his brain-implant startup, Neuralink, turned heads when he recently.
we could probably build jurassic park if we wanted to. wouldn’t be genetically authentic dinosaurs but 🤷♂️. maybe 15 years of breeding + engineering to get super exotic novel species

While some publications quoted Hodak as saying that “Neuralink has the tech to build a real Jurassic Park,” it seems as though he was talking about humanity having the possibility, not his company. As CNET points out, there is no DNA to extract from dinosaurs, but DNA from extinct animals like the woolly mammoth could theoretically be extracted and the embryo implanted into an elephant. This has raised a question as to why this would be done.
