The news came after Musk’s net worth broke the $185B threshold. Some outlets project Musk’s net worth to be $185 billion while others have it closer to $190 billion. Either way, Musk found a massive increase in his personal fortune after Tesla saw a 5% rise in shares on Thursday. Musk climbed up the ladder of the world’s wealthiest with a remarkable 2020. The Tesla CEO’s net worth ballooned by $150 billion as a result of Tesla’s share price booming by 740% which paid untold dividends for Musk who owns 20 percent stake in Tesla, 48 percent stake in SpaceX, and has $57 million vested Tesla stock options.
