Dwyane Wade got a standing ovation during his last ever game in the NBA.
The Heat star recorded a triple-double, logging 20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in less than three quarters, and finishing the game with 25 points, 10 assists and 11 rebounds. While it was an impressive last game for Wade, the Heat lost to the Nets 113-94. Before the game, Wade hugged his close friends – LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Paul, who sat next to Wade’s wife, Gabrielle Union, throughout the game. Afterward, he linked up with the crew again for an emotional ending to his impressive NBA career.
With the 16-year career of Dwyane Wade now in the books, it gives fans and peers alike the opportunity to reflect on the future first-ballot Hall of Famer’s decade and a half of NBA basketball. Former teammate and close friend LeBron James was in attendance for D-Wade’s final game in Brooklyn and expressed his gratitude and respect for Wade.
