The Denver Nuggets punched their ticket to the franchise’s first ever appearance in the NBA Finals after dispatching of the Los Angeles Lakers in four games.
Denver found themselves playing from behind most of the game after LeBron James erupted in the first half with 31 points on 11-13 shooting and 4-4 from 3PT territory. Despite the hot start, James slowed down in the second half and so too did the Lakers. Nuggets’ center Nikola Jokic recorded yet another triple-double giving him the all-time record for centers. He also walked away with the Magic Johnson Western Conference Finals MVP trophy for his performance throughout the series.Â
