News surfaced yesterday noting that Haiti suffered the loss of many following a 7.2 magnitude earthquake.

Early reports noted 29 people were dead following the aftermath. Now, it has been reported that the damage to Haiti from the earthquake was much stronger, as the death toll has risen above 700. According to the Associated Press, at least 724 people are dead, and a minimum of 2,800 was injured. Prime Minister Ariel Henry noted he was rushing to aid areas that were destroyed by the quake, as well as hospitals that were hit with a massive amount of patients. Along with that, Henry declared a one-month state of emergency for Haiti and doesnโ€™t plan on asking for help internationally until Haiti fully looks at the extent of the damages.
