Damon Wayans recently called in to Houston’s 97.9 The Box, where he revealed that he’s never watched a Verzuz battle.
After the hosts were shocked, Wayans asked if there has even been a Verzuz with comedians. The hosts were intrigued, and they asked Wayans who he would go up against in a battle of comedians. Damon then said, “[Dave] Chappelle. I’m calling him out.”
Damon started trending online after the interview, and fans were amped about the possibility of a comedian Verzuz-style battle. Neither Dave Chappelle, Swizz Beatz, or Timbaland, who started Verzuz, have responded.
