Although the writer’s strike includes actors/actresses, like Xolo it has not diminished the excitement surrounding the recent release of his first-ever feature film, Blue Beetle.
The project by DC Films secured the #1 spot at the box office over the weekend, dethroning Barbie. Xolo’s acting career is on hold until the writer’s strike subsides. This has provided the 22-year-old with more time to focus on another passion of his, rapping. After dropping a freestyle on Sway’s Universe last month, Xolo released his first rap video called “On My Way.” With a melodic beat and an R&B chorus, the music is a somewhat of a tribute to 90’s hip-hop.
