During his Monday evening conversation with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, former President Barack Obama gave his take on several topics.
Still, his comments on the dangers of cancel culture are the topic of discussion. The 44th President noted that there are instances where discrimination must be called out and condemned. However, the online cadre of activists is undermining actual efforts to combat those social forces. Obama was totally cynical of the younger generation and its propensity to cancel people. He pointed out that “at least among my daughters they will acknowledge sometimes among their peer group or in college campuses you’ll see folks going overboard.”
