Vice President Kamala Harris Issues Statement on Death of Tyre Nichols

News surfaced noting multiple former Memphis police officers were charged with the death of 29-year-old Black motorist Tyre Nichols.

The city of Memphis released the graphic body cam footage of the police beating Nichols. Now, Vice President Kamala Harris has reacted to the tragic news, issuing a statement in the process. Via social media, Harris said:

Tyre Nichols should have made it home to his family. Yet tonight, once again, America mourns a life brutally cut short at the hands of those sworn to protect and serve.
