Rapper Yella Beezy appeared in court on March 27th for a bond hearing, where prosecutors argued against reducing his $2 million bond.
During the hearing, prosecutors presented new footage from the 2020 fatal shooting of rapper Mo3 in Dallas. The video showed a gunman chasing Mo3 on Interstate 35 in broad daylight before shooting him and fleeing the scene. Investigators recovered 44 bullet casings from the highway following the attack.
Prosecutors then revealed that they have a witness prepared to testify that Yella Beezy, whose real name is Markies Conway, orchestrated the hit on Mo3. They also alleged that the rapper withdrew $40,000 the day before the murder, implying the money was used as payment for the hit. Yella Beezy’s attorney pushed back against the claims, arguing that there is no concrete evidence linking his client to the crime.
