U.S. Marshals arrested a woman in Minnesota on Tuesday in connection to the murder of the son of Memphis rapper Project Pat.

Six months after a beloved Memphis rapper’s son was gunned down on the streets of Memphis, a suspect is in custody. 19-year-old Talia Jones is charged with facilitation of first-degree murder in connection with the death of Patrick Houston, Jr., the son of Project Pat. The U.S. Marshals reported Jones was found in Minneapolis Tuesday and put up a fight while being captured. FOX13 is working to find out more about Jones. According to court records, she was wanted on a misdemeanour shoplifting warrant at the time of her arrest. Court documents state Jones was arrested twice in October 2024. The first time, she was allegedly involved in a domestic incident at an apartment complex on Ketchum in which she used a knife against a woman who was armed with a hammer.

The case was later disposed. Days later, she was arrested again after allegedly shoplifting Halloween and kitchen items from a dollar store on Perkins. She was released on her own recognizance but, according to court records, didn’t show up for a hearing. A bench warrant was issued. Documents related to Jones’ alleged role in the deadly shooting have not yet been released. According to state law, facilitation of first-degree murder means she knowingly helped someone commit murder. It is not yet clear who is responsible for pulling the trigger.
