For the first time, the public is able to view video footage of the altercation that occurred between Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri and an Alameda County sheriff’s deputy at the conclusion of the 2019 NBA Finals.

After witnessing the footage, Ujiri’s attorneys say Deputy Alan Strickland was “undeniably the initial aggressor.” The three different clips of the footage show the Raptors’ president walking to the court after his team secured the franchise’s first NBA title. Strickland puts his arm out to make sure Ujiri has the proper credentials. After Ujiri flashes his credentials and continues his path, Strickland is seen shoving Ujiri in the chest. As an onlooker attempts to calm the deputy down, Strickland pushes Ujiri again and is heard on his body cam telling Ujiri to “back the f*** up.”
