Amid lawsuits from every direction, Netflix has had a firm grasp on the mainstream with its record-breaking series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
Not only has the show re-inserted the ill-famed serial killer back into the public eye, but its created social disputes and a problematic scenario that is on an inevitable collision course with Halloween next Monday. Despite pleas from the families of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims not to dress up like him on Halloween, the notion is gaining momentum, and it is likely to occur all over the world, whether anyone likes it or not. Some businesses like eBay have shunned people who wish to acquire items in order to dress up as Jeffery Dahmer on Halloween. But a certain Pizziera in Lubbock, Texas, recently rolled out a marketing plan to cash in on what could become an infamous phenomenon this year.
Central Pizza has generated a buzz nationwide for adding the ‘Jeffrey Dahmer Special’ to its Halloween display. The pizza is meant to look like it has fingers, eyeballs, and guts coming out of it. Central Pizza achieved this look with by adding ramen noodles, various sausages, fake blood, and fake body parts. This pizza pie isn’t actually on Central Pizza’s menu, but a replica of the ‘Dahmer Special’ has been on display for a few weeks now, and it has reportedly turned several of the restaurant’s customers off. The ‘Jeffrey Dahmer Special” display has also attracted several locals to the spot for photo opportunities.
