Gamers may soon rejoice as Sony promises to have more consoles available “by the end of the year.”

In a statement issued via Twitter Wednesday morning, the good people at Sony said:

“We want to thank gamers everywhere for making the PS5 launch our biggest console launch ever. Demand for PS5 is unprecedented, so we wanted to confirm that more PS5 inventory will be coming to retailers before the end of the year – please stay in touch with your local retailers.”

The tweet comes just a day after Sony CEO Jim Ryan’s comments to a Russian news outlet went viral. Ryan told the outlet that “everything is sold” forcing many to believe they’d be forced to pay double the price on StockX or some other online marketplace.
