According to reports, Americans are set to receive another round of $1,200 stimulus checks as part of the latest COVID-19 bill unveiled by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R).

The HEALS Act is yet another $1 trillion bill that addresses, among other things, funding for schools and gives businesses liability shields. McConnell characterized his bill as a counter to the Democrats’ “multi-trillion-dollar socialist manifesto.” The means-test for the second round of stimulus checks follows the formula of the previous checks. Adults earning up to $75,000 get the full $1,200, with adults earning more getting smaller amounts. People who earn over $99,000 are once again left without any governmental supplement.
