Russian officials recently told CNN that they are on track to approve the world’s first coronavirus vaccine by August 10 or earlier.
The vaccine, which has been created by the Moscow-based Gamaleya Institute, will be available for frontline healthcare workers first. There has been some skepticism surrounding the vaccine, which has no scientific data available, according to CNN. Russia is behind other developing vaccines that are in the third phase of their trials, as they will complete their second phase on August 3, and the third phase will be running when the medical workers are vaccinated.
