Russell Westbrook made history on Monday night when his Washington Wizards took on the Atlanta Hawks.

Westbrook accomplished what many considered a formality in capturing the NBA’s all-time triple-doubles crown. Westbrook surpassed “The Big O” Oscar Robertson, who held the record for 47 years with 181 career triple-doubles. By recording 182, Westbrook broke what some thought would be a longer-standing record than Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record.  Russ put together a stat line of 28 points, 21 assists, and 13 rebounds to capture the crown, albeit in a 125-124 loss to the Hawks.
