Billboard and The Players’ Tribune teamed up to launch Switching Stages, a new video series that brings together celebrated athletes and world-renowned musicians to explore their shared connections.
The first episode, sponsored by T-Mobile, premiered on Friday (Aug. 15) and features Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young and chart-topping Migos rapper Quavo. The two bonded over their mutual love for Atlanta and its vibrant culture. The episode kicks off with Trae and Quavo facing off in a friendly yet competitive game of HORSE on the basketball court. Later, they head to the recording studio, where Quavo takes the lead in his element, guiding Trae through the process of recording a song.
Jenna Klein, Global VP of Brand and Athlete Strategy at The Players’ Tribune, added her own statement about the “human side” of both of these industries.
