Back in December of 2014, Ackquille Pollard better known as Bobby Shmurda was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, weapons possession, and reckless endangerment, where he was held on $2 million bail.

Almost two years later in September of 2016, Shmurda pled guilty to one count of third-degree conspiracy and one count of weapons possession in a plea deal, where he was sentenced to seven years in prison with no chance of appeal.  The good news for Shmurda was that he was given credit for two years already served, and was able to get a separate four-year sentence for sneaking a knife into Rikers island to run concurrently, therefore by late 2020 all reports suggest that he’s expected to be released.

New photos of Shmurda appear to show the Brooklyn rapper in good spirits with his family, while his upcoming release will be the one of the most anticipated in recent memory.
