The National Hockey League, Major League Baseball, and Major League Soccer have all announced that they’re joining the NBA, NCAA, and Association of Tennis Professionals by suspending their season to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

The MLB released a statement, which reads:

“This action is being taken in the interest of the safety and well-being of our players, Clubs and our millions of loyal fans. Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our players, employees and fans.”

The NHL added that they share a lot of the same arenas as the NBA, which announced earlier this week that they were suspending their season. Large gatherings have been canceled around the world as fears for the coronavirus spreading continue to grow.
