By now the ink is dry on the new deal Meek Mill signed making his Dream Chasers label an official joint partner with JAY-Z and Roc Nation.
Meek will hold the title of president at Dream Chasers where he will build a staff that in turn develops a roster of artists under the DC banner. Hov said of the partnership:
“Everything he has done leading up to this point shows he is ready to [lead] the next generation. We look at the big picture — this is way beyond signing artists and having hot records.”
As for Meek’s deal over at Maybach Music Group/Atlantic Records, he said he will continue to record for the label and has “new content” coming in August. The Philadelphian said, however, “I think it’s time for me to dive into the business. I’m 32 years old, I’m in a nice spot in the music business and I can help artists.”
