Nas recently appeared on Drink Champs with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN: Talks about Prince refusing to do Track with him

During the hour-long conversation, Nas touched on a number of topics and retold some interesting stories, but one that stood out, in particular, was his story about trying to get Prince on a feature.

Around the 48:55 mark of the episode, Nas recounts how he approached Prince to get on a track. The first thing Prince asked him was whether or not he owned his masters. “I pulled a N.O.R.E. move, I said, ‘Yo, look man, let’s do this. Let’s do this song.’ And he was like, ‘Do you own your masters?'”
