According to reports, there are roughly 22 murals dedicated to the late Kobe Bryant all throughout Los Angeles.

Under the tutelage of Phil Jackson, the Lakers’ great hoisted five NBA championships during his 20-year career in the largest city of Southern California. Since his untimely passing on January 26, 2020, one of the most iconic murals constructed in honour of Kobe and his daughter, Gigi “Mambacita” Bryant, was located at Melrose Ave in West Hollywood. Now, A Los Angeles-based muralist named @sloe_motions on Instagram recently revealed a collaboration with Vanessa Bryant that pays homage to Kobe and Gigi. The large painting by @sloe_motions spanned three walls and complimented the renovated basketball court repainted in Lakers colors.

The new mural and basketball court were presented to the city of Compton on Friday with a ceremony attended by Vanessa Byrant, Trae Young, Lisa Leslie, and more.
