In December 2022, Kanye West was removed from Twitter after posting an image featuring a sw*stika inside the Star of David.
The image caused much backlash, with Elon Musk even speaking on the matter. Musk spoke on West’s move, saying, “I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.” During an interview, Musk went on to say he wanted to punch the producer and rapper in the head for making the post. However, after months of being suspended, West’s Twitter account was reinstated by Musk, and was given a gold check.Â
