While scores of people are without jobs and shelter (considering the eviction crisis) amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the world’s wealthiest individuals have seen their fortunes grow exponentially.
None more than Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos who has reportedly become the world’s first $200 billion man. Bezos broke the $200 billion threshold after Amazon stock soared over $3,404 a share for the first time ever. The stock bump pushed  Bezos’s net worth up $5 billion to an obscene $202 billion. Bezos is now $77.7 billion richer than Microsoft founder Bill Gates who held the title of the world’s richest person prior to Bezos. Gates ranks No. 2 in overall net worth with $123.4 billion followed by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg who’s worth a staggering $114.7 billion.
