J. Cole announced The Fall-Off album will release Feb. 6 and revealed cover art with a trailer teasing an unreleased-song snippet.
Fans have awaited The Fall-Off since 2018 after he closed KOD with `1985 Intro to ‘The Fall Off’`, and Cole referenced the record in 2019 and on a 2020 list. Visuals in the clip show J. Cole washing his car at a self-service car wash and sitting at a restaurant counter while a narrator says `Everything is supposed to go away eventually,` as a hard-hitting beat and unreleased song snippet follow.
The announcement positions Cole for a major chart return with The Fall-Off, his first album since The Off-Season , which topped the Billboard 200 with 282,000 total album equivalent units and set a Spotify one-day streaming record. Cole’s recent releases and disputes include his surprise mixtape Might Delete Later amid the Kendrick Lamar–Drake feud and removing `7 Minute Drill` with an apology at Dreamville Festival 2024.
