Free agent guard Iman Shumpert has signed with the Brooklyn Nets. The news first broke after ESPN’s senior NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted, “Free agent guard Iman Shumpert is signing with the Brooklyn Nets, league sources tell ESPN. Nets have a 16th roster spot until Wilson Chandler suspension ends in mid-December.”
Karen Civil then congratulated Shumpert, and Iman followed with an official announcement on Instagram. He wrote, “I worked my ass off in empty gyms all summer and thru the beginning of the season. You see, character is who you are when no one is watching and while no one cares. ILoveThisGame. I appreciate this new opportunity….I told y’all I’m around. Let’s get to work @brooklynnets.”Â
