French Montana made headlines after the rapper claimed record labels were taking life insurance policies out on rappers.
The wave of rappers passing away over the last five years may have been a reason for labels allegedly pulling the move. Now, French Montana has revealed he is providing a service that could help prevent possible deaths, as the rapper came together in a partnership with Guardian Recovery Group to create NAQI Healthcare. While on TMZ, French spoke in detail about NAQI, which means “pure” in Arabic, saying the group is focused on expanding access to in-home and private detox services for privacy-sensitive clients. The group is focused on helping people dealing with addiction, specifically by providing privacy and assistance needed to recover.
Montana said the death of Mac Miller really touched him and pushed him to create NAQI. The healthcare group is currently offering help in California, New York, and Florida, with plans of expansion in the works.
