50 Cent knows exactly what he’s doing when it comes to television, and Anita-Joy Uwajeh isn’t shy about saying it out loud.

The British actress broke down what the legendary producer brings to his latest project, the upcoming Starz boxing drama “Fightland,” and her assessment was crystal clear about his value to the series.

50 built an empire on Starz with “Power” and its sprawling spinoff universe, proving he understands the formula for creating television that keeps people locked in. “Fightland” marks his latest venture into original scripted content, and this time he’s diving into the gritty world of British boxing. The eight-episode series follows Maduka “Duke” Kilroy, a disgraced, formerly incarcerated boxing champion who returns to London seeking revenge after his childhood best friend disappears into the corrupt underbelly of the sport. It’s a story about survival, betrayal, and the brutal reality of what happens when personal vendettas collide with organized crime in the boxing world. The ensemble cast includes Howard Charles, Deborah Ayorinde, Charles Babalola, Tahirah Sharif, Tyler Conti, and Richard Pepple alongside Uwajeh, who plays Cebella “Cece” Marshall.
