Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed that a Russian airstrike hit a maternity and children’s hospital in the city of Mariupol, leaving children buried under rubble.
The governor of the Donetsk region also revealed that 17 people, including women in labor, were wounded in the airstrike. Ukrainian officials are still trying to determine if there were any casualties in the incident. The governor added that the airstrike was done during a ceasefire period that would allow civilians to safely escape. The World Health Organization revealed that they have counted 18 attacks on health care facilities in the Ukraine, which has led to 10 deaths and 16 people injured.
