The FDA recently approved the emergency usage of Johnson and Johnson’s single-shot COVID-19 vaccine, and now reports surfaced noting that the CDC has recommended Johnson and Johnson’s vaccine.

Reports noted that the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices voted to recommend the new vaccine from Johnson and Johnson to adults who are 18 and older in the United States. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky spoke on the matter, saying: “This vaccine is also another important tool in our toolbox to equitably vaccinate as many people as possible, as quickly as possible.”
