California is taking a step to move forward despite the fact a pandemic is happening, as the state revealed they will no longer require social distancing measures and will allow full capacity for businesses once the state re-opens on June 15.
The news came from Dr. Mark Ghaly, a Secretary for the CA Health and Human Services. Ghaly said, “We’re at a place with this pandemic where those requirements of the past are no longer needed for the foreseeable future.”
He then went on to point out stats that led to the decision saying lower virus cases and increasing vaccinations have allowed the state to make the push to drop all restrictions come June. It was noted that hard end to wearing masks wouldn’t be happening, but California will be adjusting the guidelines for masks. Ghaly went on to say the state will require vaccine verification or negative COVID-19 test results within 72 hours for indoor events that will have more than 5,000 in attendance.
