While Boi-1da has produced hits for several massive hip-hop stars, the Canadian beatsmith is probably best known for the work he’s done with fellow Toronto native Drake. The OVO producer recently sat down with Tidal’s Rap Radar podcast to chop it up with Elliott Wilson and Brian “b.dot” Miller about his frequent collaborator. During the conversation, the 31-year-old producer praised Drizzy and addressed the rumors that the “God’s Plan” rapper uses a ghostwriter.
“I think Drake is literally one of the greatest songwriters of all time like literally, he’s there, and he writes his own songs,” said Boi-1da.
Continuing Boi-1da, acknowledged that Quentin Miller has collaborated with Drake, but denied he’s crafted full lyrics for him. “Quentin is really dope, but somebody just made some fake narrative of Drake writing in sweatshops and all this stuff. It’s just not true man.
