President Biden signed a stopgap funding bill on Thursday evening which effectively averts a partial government shutdown that would’ve started on Friday.
The House and Senate voted to pass the bill that will fund the government through Dec 3. in addition to $28.6 billion for disaster aid and $6.3 billion to help with the settlement of Afghan refugees.
