After decades in the music industry and one of the most successful careers of all time, Beyoncé finally nabbed her first Album of the Year win at last night’s Grammy Awards for Cowboy Carter.
Beyoncé has finally scooped the award that’s evaded her entire career, winning Album of the Year for COWBOY CARTER at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Despite being nominated for Album of the Year four times and holding the record as the most awarded and nominated artist in Grammy history, the superstar songstress had never secured the coveted golden gramophone.
Beyoncé also made history by becoming the first Black female artist to win Best Country Album with COWBOY CARTER. Both Bey and Hov were visibly stunned as the singer’s name was announced.
Straight off of the win, Beyoncé caught up with ET’s Kevin Frazier, and she spoke about how happy she was that her daughter, Blue Ivy, got to see her win. Beyoncè went on to speak about the country community, stating, “The love I got from the country community tonight made me feel so seen. I just hope that they continue to open up the world for people to just love and respect the genre, no matter where they come from. Everybody should be invited.”
