Action Bronson is continuing to cross industries and adding to the vastness of his resume. The chef, rapper, late night show host can now add actor to his repertoire. The Queen’s native has been cast in the new Martin Scorsese film The Irishman where he will alongside veteran actors Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino.
Billboard reports that the upcoming film will be a Netflix production. It is said to be a biographical crime film based on Charles Brandt’s book I Hear You Paint Houses that will be released in 2018. Based on a synopsis of the film, the storyline will follow Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran, a mob hitman who is allegedly involved in the death of Teamster boss Jimmy Hoffa.
While Action Bronson’s role is still not confirmed he did recently share a photo of himself with De Niro and Scorsese on his Instagram. Bronson is also reported to appear in another Netflix movie, Game Over Man later this year. This movie comes from the creators of the show Workaholics and likely a comedy.
Bronson will not be new to the screen as he hosts a number of shows on VICELAND, Vice Magazine’s TV network that brings their hipster style of reporting to cable television. His latest venture is The Untitled Action Bronson Show where he blends his love for food and cooking with his musical background.
