Former Olympic skater Nancy Kerrigan spoke out after nearly 70 people, including a contingency of U.S. ice skaters who just wrapped up a competition in Wichita, were killed after a plane and helicopter crashed in DC.Â
Speaking at a press conference live from the Skating Club of Boston, where some of the skaters in the crash trained, Kerrigan broke down over the tragedy. She tearfully stated, “Much like everyone here has been saying, I’m not sure how to process it. I didn’t feel like it was right to be home and do interviews for this. . . . We just wanted to be here and be a part of our community.”
