Now, it appears Musk has moved forward with reinstating the Twitter account of Donald Trump.
Trump was previously banned from Twitter following the January 6 Capitol riots. According to Elon Musk, over 134 million people saw the poll, despite only 15 million people participating. Musk tweeted: “The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.”
The former president addressed his Twitter reinstatement while speaking at a Republican Jewish Coalition conference in Las Vegas. Trump noted that despite the move by Musk, he is staying on his own Truth Social platform.
“They have a lot of problems at Twitter. You see what’s going on. It may make it, it may not make it, but the problems are incredible, and the engagements are negative. But Truth Social has taken the place for a lot of people, and I don’t see them going back onto Twitter,” said Trump.
