Just last month Apple announced its new subscription-based gaming service, Apple Arcade.

The new service will arrive with over 100 new and exclusive games as it’s set to launch this coming fall. A new report from the Financial Times revealed just how much Apple is spending on the launch. According to FT, Apple is spending a whopping $500 million on the project. Apple looks to use that half a billion dollars to secure new games for the service.

This subscription-based gaming service will look to compete directly with Google who recently unveiled their own gaming service Stadia which looks to bring 4K-streaming to the gaming experiences of their subscribers.
