Willie D confronted Scarface during a recent episode of their Geto Boys podcast for not telling him that their group was included in the Grammys’ 50th anniversary Hip Hop tribute. 

Willie D started off by sharing that he asked Scarface about what he was doing the weekend of the Grammys, and while Scarface admitted that he was going to the awards for the tribute, Willie D added that he didn’t say anything about the Geto Boys being included. Willie D also felt slighted that Scarface didn’t tell him that he was performing “Mind Playing Tricks on Me,” which he co-wrote with Scarface. 

Willie D said that Scarface should’ve performed one of his solo songs at the Grammys tribute, not a Geto Boys song if Willie D wasn’t also invited to perform. The two entertainers went back-and-forth, with Scarface telling Willie D that the producers of the show asked him to perform the song, and he added that he was given a very limited performance of the song.Â
