It was announced that Wesley Snipes will be joining the cast of Coming 2 America. Snipes recently worked with Eddie Murphy and director Craig Brewer on another anticipated film, Dolemite is My Name, which tells the story of comedian Rudy Ray Moore.
Snipes will play General Izzi, the ruler of Zamunda’s neighboring nation, while Eddie Murphy, who is producing the film, will reprise his role as Prince Akeem alongside Arsenio Hall as his best friend, Semmi. The new story will follow Akeem’s journey back to America to find his long lost son. The film is set to hit theaters on Aug. 7, 2020.
