Earlier in the week, Daniel Caesar caught some criticism for his recent comments on racism, where during a live stream he downplayed it’s significance while ultimately saying that black people need to stop being mean to Caucasians.

“Why are we being so mean to white people right now?” Caesar asked in reference to the backlash that media personality Yes Julz had been receiving, “Why is it that we’re allowed to be disrespectful and mean to everyone else, yet when they return that same energy to us – that’s not a quality, I don’t want to be treated like I can’t take a joke.” The latter reference was in relation to a previous story involving Caesar, where he had an awkward exchange with Dave Chappelle when the comedian called him gay to his face during another live stream.

From there, Caesar went on to briefly acknowledge the historical precedence of racism in the world, while stating that ultimately the best course of action is to get over it “and keep it moving.” With all that said, TMZ recently caught up with Waka Flocka and his wife, Tammy Rivera, to ask for their thoughts on Caesar’s comments, to which they dismissed him as someone who’s clearly not informed.
